THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM IN ZADAR

The collection of the Archaeological Museum in Zadar possesses the Egyptian cult artifacts found during the excavations in the territory of Zadar and surrounding area. These artifacts are: the negative of a amulet mold with a Serapis image from Zadar, a lamp made of baked clay with a Juppiter-Amon image from Zadar, a standing lamp made of light brown terra cotta with a Harpocrates image, two oblique lamps made of brown terra cotta with an Isis and Serapis bust from Nin, a lamp made of terra cotta from Nin, a large fragment of a sepulchral cypus with the name of Isidorus inscribed on it from Nin, and a sepulchral stone stela from Podgrađe near Benkovac. Two stone blocks with the protome of a Juppiter-Amon head are part of the ornaments in the Forum of Zadar.

The artifacts from the collection were published several times, and by M. Suić (1965), B. Perc (1968), P. Selem (1971, 1972, 1997), M.-Ch. Budischovsky (1977), and M. Tomorad (2003).
